Milan, Calama, 1 June 2017 \u2013 EPS announces the commissioning for Enel Green Power of the world\u2019s first microgrid 100% emission-free, coupled with hydrogen and lithium-based storage.<\/p>\n
This Hybrid Power Plant is meeting the energy demand of the camp hosting over 600 technicians working at the Enel Green Power\u2019s geothermal plant Cerro Pabell\u00f3n, located in Ollag\u00fce, in the Antofagasta region of Chile, in the heart of the Atacama Desert (4500m above sea level).<\/p>\n
This project is a milestone in the validation from the market of EPS technology and another step forward in our path to energy transition for gradually displacing diesel generation globally.<\/p>\n
